Question # 6: Camp Harmony

Ironic or appropriate?

Let’s get through the definition of “harmony” first! In general way, “harmony” means to get along in peace. But according to what Sone tells us about, “hopefully called Camp Harmony”- make a flash to my mind, that she didn’t expect this camp to be name or called Harmony at the very first time she landed down. Imagine when there is a little dorm for many people, harsh physical environment along with leaking house roof, bad food for lunches and suppers, and no privacy at all when there are guards always standing out of houses watching us. How come those cruel government people named that racism camp with the gorgeous word Harmony? Without doubt, the American government at that period wanted that name because they thought they could comfort Japanese American citizens to feel happy with their new house. The examples mentioned above prove the completely different meaning of Camp Harmony. In conclusion, the saying” was hopefully called Camp Harmony”, quoted by Sone was meaning ironically in the way of blaming and protesting the unfairness from the American government in year 1941- 1942, to abandon the majority of innocent Japanese American people in this -unexpected –to - live-camp.

Gentleman of Rio en Medio- question number 9

People on this entire planet are all unique, they are all different to each other. Not just only the human, but all the living organism do. Each of us have different perspective, the point of view how we look at the world, the people, the object are different too.
In the story Gentleman of Rio en Medio, it was narrated by the lawyer who convince Don Anselmon to sell the trees. His point of view is awesome. The way he tell us was pretty clearly, and we all get the character. But when he described Mr Don, it was like he telling us how poor Mr. Don is with his old gloves. If Mr. Don was the narrator, i think he would never describe him self as a man like that, even though he is still a gentleman. And the way he express his feeling about trees that he planted for the kids in the village would make the audience get bad mind for the Americans. In addition, if it Don's perspective, the way of thinking and viewing things would be different.

Stop The Sun- literary focus- Question # 7: Make a Judgement

I do think that Terry made a right decision of questioning his dad on his experience at Vietnam War. Why? Because he loved his father. When he saw his father acted strangely, unlike others because of his syndrome. When he asked his father about the experiences, throughout the story, he could realize everything that happened in his father head. With all the sudden, he knew that he was wrong of being ashamed with his father attitude. But, if he didn’t ask his father to talk about the experiences at the war, he would keep his self full of embarrassing from his dad weird attitude, caused by the syndrome at Vietnam War, that will last forever inert on his father mind. Also, when he and his father had the conversation, the hood between Terry and his dad gained bigger, tighter, as the feeling of the son felt sorrow for his dad bad luck. In my perspective, it’s the precious moral for Terry, that he should accept his family members, no matter who they are or what they have, especially is for his dad, the person who gave birth to him. In addition, I believe that Terry made a right choice; helped him to get rid of embarrassment, either gained the better for the relationship between him and his father.

Essay entry # 2 "Blue Danube"

“Will you come to the Home coming queen with me?” Chad requested me with his charming voice. I was blushing like I have never been before. It was just happened last week, when I first entered this new high school as a stubborn girl. Turned then, an extraordinary guy asked me to come to the prom with him. It was like girls dreams come true. And I couldn’t believe in myself that I accepted the invitation from a rock star, because I used to hate those fancy clothes with high reputation men. At the school hall on Friday night, we gave each other our first kiss.
On Monday, at the very beginning of semester two, I entered my new school, the IUM of Australia. I was very excited when I saw the school’s halls, which were very neat and simply white lockers. There wasn’t much colors stuffs and decorated things on the school wall, which was quite boring for people, but not for me. (I know, I understand how tedious I am, but trust me, I am telling you this for my purpose).
I expected myself for a second half of eleventh grade to be better than the other half old one. Before the school bell rang, I met Macy, the president of student council. She was my classmate, also my guide for the new school information and classes. We became friend pretty fast, because she treated me very nicely. But then, at the exact 8:30’, still on that day, all girls around the school was rushing out to every windows and the school gate. Macy didn’t, but she stood there and screamed to my ears: “Oh my Buddha, the youngest rock star, who won the Teen choice award of his talents and beauty, Chad Dylan Cooper. Ah ah!!!”
I didn’t very interest on him, I meant, I hated rock stars and those who were famous. I took my book out, went straight down the hallway to the ICT room, ignore whatever people were doing. At some point, the crown just had been release by the councilor. For some distraction of looking for classes, I crashed a guy. I was very embarrassed and hurried as possible, I picked his stuff. When I looked up, a big smile with deep blue eyes and his shining blond hair appeared, almost made me want to fell down.
He looked at me and said: “Hello, I am Chad Cooper, as you know right? Who are you anyway, are you a new student?”
WHAT? I had to admit that I was in day dreaming, but then the name Chad was abruptly woke me up. I changed my perspective right away. I stood up immediately, gave him the books, and said: “Oh, oh I know you. Hello, my name is Samantha McCarthy, you can call me Sam. I am a new student. Now good day sir, I got to go.”
Chad rushed his voice: “Wait up, you know, you are very… cute, I love your hair… Would you, would you like to go out sometimes?”
I turned back, glanced at him, and ironically said: “Don’t even think of that. Tell you what; I hate rock stars and any types of famous people. I am not desire to date with a young famous rock star like you. An ordinary man would be fine with me. Farewell!”
Okay, don’t even think that I’m arrogant. No I wasn’t. In my mind, the definition of extraordinary man was the popularity, the reputation, and the bias of normal people to them. Since there, I didn’t know why, but everybody told me that Chad got a crush on this Samantha McCarthy. He drove me crazy everyday- and those days was the best days ever. On the next day, meant Tuesday, when I walked into the school gate, it seemed everybody was talking about ME. Was there anything wrong with my uniform? No. It was Chad Dylan Cooper, the one who caused this mess for me. All the entire beautiful, neat, and simply white metal lockers of the school had been ruined by Chad’s fantastic hands. I was a volcano that going to explode. He even didn’t make his artwork makes sense. Just some black, red squiggly lines by the colors spray, spread out everywhere on the lockers surface and done. It looked just disaster as my life was when he me. I thought famous people must be good at everything, but seemed not at all. Chad met me at my locker on the hall way; the one that he sketched a heart on. He batted his eyelashes: “Hey, how is going, do you like this?”
I stared at him and ended with a big slam: “Yeah right, whatever, I don’t want to care, now excuse me, I have to go to my violin lesson.”
Chad suddenly held my wrist and pulled me back: “No, wait, let’s see what Mrs. Flynn is going to say about this, and you’ll see me at the detention room today! You know an ordinary man do ordinary stuff like get detention, right. Darn, I am so good on this!”
Therefore, Mrs. Flynn, the African American art teacher, was the number one fan of Chad. She looked at it, staring at it, went around every side to see it, and that action took her about seven minutes. I wondered if Mrs. Flynn got injuries with her eyes, or because of her honest to be Chad’s number one fan. She went out her final decision: “Chad, this is great, it’s gorgeous. I can’t believe a star like you still have time to create the huge masterpiece like this. You are such as a talented boy. I’ll name it the Rhythm. Do you like it?”
Chad was like a statue. His whitened face could show us that he was freaking out by his number one fan. He knocked his head and then looked at me with his sparkle puppy eyes, like begging me to give him a chance. Without any clemency, I gave him a ridiculous smile, and rushed to my violin class.
Chad was a biggest leech I have ever seen in my whole life. He followed me everywhere, even to the lunch table. And now, he signed up his name for the musical class- because he just wanted to talk to me. The teacher in chart of this musical class, Mr. Joseph was totally opposite from Mrs. Flynn. He loved music, but he didn’t expect a rock star to do the try out to get a chance to study in his class. It was so oblivious how show off would a rock star be. But also, it could be unfair if Chad didn’t be allowed to attending in musical class. Mr. Joseph didn’t ask him to do the tryout; even he was ahead at playing piano and drums. Chad had to play the triangle. To play the triangle was the easiest and also the poorest instrument, but I wondered the reason why he accepted it, and ignored everything will happen to him to get a part of the class. He chose to stand next to me. The only one major thing that he tried to tell me was that he was still can be an ordinary man without any rock stars stuff and he could made me falling for him. I did get some feeling with him, but then I tried to replace those object with study, so it wasn’t a big deal. For the musical concert, this time, our school chose to play the Blue Danube. Blue Danube was a great song, from the melody to its sounds. However, there were somebody played the triangle had to awake after every five minutes to do his work.
But Chad was finally kidnapped my heart.
On the next day of practicing the Blue Danube, he was late. Instead of telling teacher the reason; he gave out everybody in the class a new version of Blue Danube. He said: “Guys, I, as a normal guy, think that the old version of Blue Danube is boring. Yesterday I stayed awake until three o’clock to finish this. Let’s practice!” As he said, people all settled down and play the new version. He was right. The new version was influence by rock, and it made the crown in the competition coil and exited. School won the first place as we protested. I was so surprise on him, for the happiness he presented me, and what he has done for the public.
At the end of the concert, I met Chad. He wore a black tuxedo with his hair has been brush and put on gel on carefully. Again, “Hey pretty girl, how was the show”? This time, I couldn’t miss an opportunities to give him a lovely smile to thank you to what he had done. I said: “Well Chad, I admit I am wrong to judge you as a useless rock star. You’re such a funny and attractive guy. You know, I thought you were very annoying to me these days, but you also make me tot think a lot about you.”
Chad laughed on his blushed face. He was gently said:” Well, if then, will you come to the Home coming queen with me?”
At that time, that period, my face was a ripe tomato: “I would love to be that lucky girl!”
Eventually, when I walked toward him, I stepped on my long blinking dress and I slipped. Chad was behind me, and he held my back. We look at each other for a meanwhile. Chad used his hand to push me up and force his back down. I didn’t know what he up to, until my face was so close to him. I closed my eyes and we gave each other our sweeties first kiss.

paragraph entry# 1 " use descriptive language to describe a person that you know"

Ruby is very confident with the “S” curve of her body. Mostly every day, when people enter the school, she gives all the girls in the school a ridiculing smile. Sometimes, she says derogatory things to her class mate, even though they didn’t do anything that makes Ruby feel condescending. Her face always glitters- goes along with her sparkling outfit. We could use a metaphor to say she is a chipped black rough diamond that has been covered on by some magic sparkle stuff.
